Garry Sandhu was born on April 4, 1984, in the village of Rurka Kalan, Punjab, India. His real name is Gurmukh Singh Sandhu. His father’s name is Sohan Singh Sandhu. Garry was very closed to his mother.  Sandhu’s journey in music has been nothing short of remarkable. Despite facing challenges, including a stint in the UK followed by deportation back to India on January 12, 2012, Sandhu has persevered and continued to pursue his passion for music.

He was an average student who frequently skipped class. He was never able to return to school after his tenth-grade failure. He played football with skill. Sandhu stopped studying in 2002 and started talking to an immigration agency.
